About us

The Manic Stamper Ltd has been hosting a craft club since 2005, offering affordable make-and-take projects once a month. We also provide a discounted store for crafting consumables, equipment and project items.

The craft club is held in the Large Hall at Robert Hall Memorial Baptist Church, 147 Narborough Road, Leicester, LE3 0PD. The entrance to the hall is from the car park at the rear of the building, accessible from Upperton Road. We meet on the third Saturday of the month (except December) between 2pm-5pm.

There is normally a choice of four projects: three card crafting tables and a scrapbooking/altered art table. Each table is hosted by one of our friendly and patient demonstrators, and often there is time for more than one card project to be completed in the time available. All equipment and materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. We only charge on a make-and-take basis, between £1-£3 for a card project and £2.50-£10 for the scrapbooking/altered art projects, depending on materials used. There is also a 10% discount for items purchased on the day from our craft club shop. And to top it all, we include free tea and coffee – feel free to bring your own biscuits!

Our demonstrators:

Neil
Neil has been crafting since 1999 and has been demonstrating for The Manic Stamper from the very beginning. He’s recently started studying an Extended Diploma in Art and Design at Leicester College – more of his work can be seen at his blog perfectly4med.wordpress.com. He has the reputation of demonstrating more complex techniques, but craft clubbers are always delighted with their results. Neil also manages the blog, so let him know what you think! Neil is also a member of the Wow! Embossing Powder Design Team for 2012.

Denise
Denise has the same crafting history as Neil since they were introduced to card making at the same time (they’re married to each other). As well as demonstrating each month, Denise manages the shop and the ordering.

Sue
Sue has been demonstrating with The Manic Stamper since we started and also knows our stock inside out as she helps set it out every month! Her projects are excellent for beginners in card crafting, or for those that like less fiddly techniques than Neil tends to do!

Kathryn
Kathryn has been with us from the start as well, and leads our scrapbooking/altered art projects – these usually need the full afternoon to complete. Her crafting hero seems to be a certain Tim Holtz…
